Eng - Our new FW 2015 collection of silk scarves is about to be revealed at Who's Next / Première Classe fair in Paris, on Jan 25 - 28. This is an exciting but super scaring moment at the same time, when it comes to deliver a new collection. We feel like addicted gamblers up to throw their set of dices one more time. But that what makes this life thrilling...
This collection called "Gatsby" is a mix of different influences, different stories and chance encounters. When developing a new collection, as a designer you are supposed to stick to a main artistic direction, whereas at A PIECE OF CHIC we proceed in a totally different way. We develop what comes up as an obvious fact according to the people we've met and the everyday life we are living. We totally refuse to make any kind of trends scooting or try to figure out what will be the next big thing. We live our passion for vintage motorcycles, cars, fashion, architecture, music... as far as we can and get what come up from that lifestyle.
For this new collection, we have worked with gifted rising artists like "Dit Cheyenne" from Toulouse (France) or the amazing "Ornamental Conifer" from Melbourne (Australia). We've also worked again with "Blitz Motorcycles" boys from Paris and "El Solitario" from spain to develop limited edition scarves for classy badass. And much more to come...
"Biba", "Persic", "Carnaby", "Portobello", "Montlhéry, "Gatsby", "Barber", "Tools".... are some of the new pieces of chic to come. Here is glimpse of that new collection.

"Gatsby", nous n'en menons pas bien large, même si la gamme elle s'étoffe ... Comme à chaque échéance nous nous sentons aussi calmes et détendus qu'un joueur compulsif qui se prépare à lancer une nouvelle fois les dés. Mais on ne va pas s'en plaindre. C'est la vie que l'on a choisi.
Cette collection s'est nourrie d'influences diverses et de rencontres multiples. Ne cherchez donc pas un file conducteur car ce n'est pas du tout notre façon de travailler. Nous roulons à l'instinct, à la rencontre, à l'opportunité... et nous nous laissons un peu guider par notre passion pour tout ce qui à une histoire, une patine, une usure, des kilomètres au compteur.
